Never played arena... too low of tech... just read the detailed story :P. Daggerfall was meh at the time. I was little and liked pokemon more. Morrowind was epic. Oblivion was a different flavour of epic. Skyrim will be culinary art.

I was also to young around Arena and Daggerfall time but I like how TES has evolved. I read an early thread about someone saying that Bethesda can't stop making these games till all of Tamriel is done. Funny seeing as Arena was technically everything (though much more linear I know)

I've only played oblivion and lasted several moments on Morrowind, yeah I was shallow graphics lover, in it for the looks lol. Therefore I'm quite detached from the tamrielic lore... I think I'm gonna rectify this on this final leg of the Skyrim wait.

On that note though it is kinda sad that most TES fans dont know what Daggerfall is and even fewer know about Arena.

It is sad, TES: Arena is what got me into The Elder Scrolls series (not that I knew at the time they were going to keep making them). I remember getting stuck for days at certain points trying to figure out the damn puzzles to retrieve another piece of the staff. This was back in the days before the internet was how it is now and you could just google the answer!

Same here. Arena, to me, was epic. Daggerfall got me hooked for something like 3 years straight. Morrowind was a bit of a delusion: too small and uninspiring. Oblivion made my spirit soar. Skyrim.... well, let's say "morrowind" and "message in a bottle" xD
