Grappling hooks

Note: I am making this request in the mod request boards for both fallout 3 and new vegas, both to better the odds of this mod being made, and with hope that the mod can be made compatable with both games, or have a version for each game.

 

The thieves arsenal mod (oblivion) has vine arrows, when you shoot one at a ledge it extends a vine, or rope, that you can climb up and down.

I would love to see something like this in fallout, as a grappling hook. Ether a thrown weapon that appears hook like and extends a rope off of a ledge, using the same mechanics as in the oblivion mod, or as a steam projected launcher using the rock-it launchers mesh/texture.

If both models are made and used then I imagin the hand thrown hook would be lighter then the gun unit, but the gun would have better range and accuracy.

Shouldn't be too hard, we know it's been done before, with a working example so easily accessible I'm sure someone will be able to work there way around any issues.

I don't know the first thing about modding, but I'm sure that the original work was just an arrow with a special script added to it, if the same script could be applied to a unique ammo type, or a thrown weapon, we could replicate the results with ease.

I think it would allow the player to gain access the places that weren't intended. Eh, I'd still download it anyway. :P

I imagine this would be difficult, even though its been done before. another point is that in OB you rarely hit an invisible wall, usually you couldn't reach them, NV is terrible for them, so you most likely just end up stopping before you get anywhere near where you were trying to go :/

Could convert over the Pull Mastery Hookshot or Grappling hook, and use ultimate invisible wall remover maybe?
