How can I find out what mod an item in game came from?

i have the name and item IDs, but i want to remove whatever mod an item came from..

 

googling the name and item ID got 0 results.

If you have the form ID, which should be eight characters long, and potentially look a bit like this (random made up example, but still):

• A1013D2F

You will see that it is composed like this:

• (mod load order number) + (actual ID of the item)

which, in this case, would be

• A1 + 013D2F

so you should see which mod you have in your current load order at the position "A1", since the mod comes from it. Wrye Bash, for example, should be able to tell that pretty clearly. Be sure to use the ID you have and not that example. Hopefully that helps a little. Also, when installing mods, it is handy to double-check what each mod adds to your game, to avoid any surprises. :thumbsup:
