I wanted to know what you the community think about Bethesda sharing so much information (more than any other title it would seem) on Skyrim? Do you think they are sharing to much? Too little? Or juuuust right lol and post your reasons why?

In my honest opinion I think if this was intended to be just another project of theirs yes it would be way to much information for the general public and thats only because if I indeed saw this much about lets say Oblivion (the final product, not that bs demo before they took everything out) I probably would not have purchased oblivion, well at least not until the modding community was well ahead and the game was significantly cheaper.

But lets face it we have been promised for this to be not such a title and be insane amount of game play hours. Which honestly only wants me to see more. I guess I am just a bit relieved that the demos so far have taken place on a console rather than a pc, that way if they cut anything drastic that cannot blame it on hardware incompatibilities lol and if you don't know what I am talking about have a look at what Oblivion was supposed to be here

at around 1:10 is when you see the huge thing first cut out which really butt hurt me lol

Anyway what are your thoughts?

Keep in mind that even if they posted the entire game, only the hardcore fans would see all of it. Most casuals may see a 5 minute video on g4 or something, and say "yeah, I guess I'll get it". Besides, your the one who chooses how much to read and not to read, you can stop any time.

I havent seen nearly enough! I want to actually see gameplay they have showed so very little as far as im concerned. There most recent ''Big'' announcement I know of was that there are vampires in the game which made me /facepalm of course theres going to be vampires... Its like saying theres going to be horses in the game what a shocker. Honestley the lack of features and gameplay they are announcing concerns me even though I already pre ordered a copy im still a bit skeptical about an oblivion 1.5 or fallrim 3.

While I agree to an extent lol what I meant by it is do you think it is too much to where many things will no longer surprise you, such as the dragon shouts, or how dragons and mobs will react to certain battle methods etc but thank you for you reply

@cappsgrad lol yea I was worried whether or not vampires would be added this time around, I am glad to see they are!

*sigh* that video is so depressing... Oblivion already looked as good as Skyrim does now before they had to cut out and dumb it down for the crapbox. And here we are again, DX9, graphics built for consoles... How I wish they could just build for consoles and really push the limits of their creative abilities rather than be fettered by old technology and corporate prudence.

Agreed >_< after seeing this I was from then on worried about ANYTHING bethesda released. But I suppose thats why they made all their demos on the xbox this time around. AND OMG can you imagine what this game will be like when the community gets their modding little fingers on it ^_^

For those that bad-talk Todd about him lying... keep in mind that when Oblivion was made, they were creating the game with LITTLE to no knowledge of what the XBOX's specs were, and what it was capable of. When they discovered that they had made a game that was too large and too demanding, they had to cut a lot out. What the hell do you want? To b*tch more? ;] Edited by natelovesyou

Lets just step back a second...I didn't once say he lied and second I understand why he had to cut back the limitations of oblivion, but as the previous post stated it was for Xbox so even so he should have at least made it a possibility to use on the pc edition but fair is fair. I will not go into he said she said no more but just wanted to get my point across.

Lets keep it friendly ^_^

For Bethsoft's team to be able to unleash their creative genius to it's fullest capability without waiting for the guys at Microsoft to catch up. I've got 12g of ram just sitting here waiting for them to make a 64 big game with full dx11... but, I am just happy we got dynamic shadows this time around (kind of).

Video games are an art form. Tod Howard's team has been using second grade paint on second grade canvas because that is all they have to work with. :/
