zanity
Here's a clue- the issue ain't because Beth decided to be mean to those people who need better 'snapping'. Beth implemented a ROBUST system at the expense of functionality and flexibility. It is what we coders call a 'trade off'. Modders allow you trade robustness for convenience with many mods that change this behaviour. And of course, grown-up modders use 'place everywhere' or console commands. Did Bethesda change something major regarding the build mode in the latest patch? I feel like I'm missing something here. RaffTheSweetling
I think a better poll / change to the engine would be to improve Settler AI. Snapping, as Zanity previously mentioned, has been adequately addressed by a huge range of mods already.
