gahnzz
I think it should be like the ME-way. And, as in the article, immortal for questgivers.Btw bit off topic, but is it like designed you will always have a companion with you?I don't know for sure, but I doubt it. It's on the list of things that are optional if you choose to go that route. There might be the occassional quest specific companion but not a norm and not required 24/7. Fatalmasterpiece
You can tell your companion to go home and leave you if you want, at least that is how every other TES has been before.
Horgr
I would like a dragon age style, where fallen companions are injured when they get back up (and continue to become more and more injured every time they fall in battle)
Bloodinfested
I don't like immortal companions because it can lead to exploiting. You got a high level ranged enemy where no way you can kill it by yourself. So you just take cover and let the companion slowly beat them to death and who cares if he falls he will just get back up to continue to beat the enemy down. StormTemplar
Immersion is a very large part of this game, but it also sucks if your companion is necessary for a main quest or whatever. So I'd vote 3.
Uzibeatle
Option 3 of course. This is easily accomplished via mods or even simpler via a console command that alters the down timer to coverany typical engagement time. I know the commands that do this in their prior games but I suppose this game will have altered console commands. If it is like in the past that sort of command 'sticks' to all prior saves until the setting is altered.
PSQGL
I prefer them dying: it helps you plan your battles in advance and choose your companions wisely.
Zachcuden
They are dead/unconscious and you have to bring them to a hospital and wait 3 days for them to heal. And wait button doesn't affect it, real in game time only :P my option
CrzyFooL
I like them being immortal only because the AI is far from perfect. How is it my fault if a companion goes running headfirst into a giant gets killed in 1 hit?
csgators
I like them being immortal only because the AI is far from perfect. How is it my fault if a companion goes running headfirst into a giant gets killed in 1 hit? This is why I don't like to even have them. In FO3 at least they would tear across the wasteland after something I had not even seen and that had not seen me. They are no fun to have around and I don't want any. If your going to have them then why no co-op? It should be SINGLE player all the way.
