Kahnadah
Hi all! I'm having a problem with Mod Organizer that I can't figure out... I install a mod as normal, but even though the .esp file is in the mod zip file, MO says it's not there. >.< I'm getting this on a lot of mods that MO says otherwise are fine, and I'm kinda at the end of my rope with it. Does anyone know what the problem is? Is it something I'm doing? Here's an example: ADEC Alduin Armor Red - contains the following files: (In order) textures folder, meshes folder, ADEC Alduin Armor.esp, meta.ini. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be? Any help is appreciated!Kahnadah
IsharaMeradin
The example mod you gave looks right. What exactly is the issue? Where are you being told that the ESP file is not present? What is the exact error that you are receiving (if any)?

It comes up with "Error: esp not found: mod name.esp" in a pop up box. If I click ok and close the box, when I play the game the armor I wanted to install doesn't show up in game. I'll try to get a screen grab. Hopefully it'll work!http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg50/Kahnadah/sample_zps1htwa5fl.jpg Edited June 18, 2016 by Kahnadah
IsharaMeradin
Possible problem... No idea if it is causing the issue or not, however. Ever since Windows XP there have been securities in place (UAC == User Account Control) that prevent tampering of programs that are installed to Program Files and/or Program Files (x86). These securities have plagued mod users and authors for a long time. The easiest solution is the preventative solution and that is to not install the games and game utilities into the default locations but rather install them to a custom location. Moving them, however, can be quite the hassle and understandable if you don't wish to undertake it.

The one I have the screenshot for has the following layout:Bohemian armor folder, then inside that a meshses folder, a textures folder and an esp. I tried taking them all out and re-zipping them into another 7z file but it didn't help. I guess some mods are just not for me to use! Anyway, thanks for the attempt to help out, it's appreciated!
