Seeing this post has given me an idea (rather a sligtly tweaked version of the original idea). I think i may record my playing experience and post it on youtube. Chronicling a characters entire "Lifespan" sounds like it could be fun. Now obviously i would not post an uneventful trek down the road where nothing happens, but i will record and see if i can make an interesting series out of this idea. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas to contribute. I would love to hear them (I may make another thread, if it starts to deviate from OP's original intention for this thread)

Excuse me... How would you make a blog?

Look up Blogger or WordPress

That's known as vlogging. One vlogger I love is MaximusBlack, he's done playthroughs (not walkthroughs, hes really discovering the game as he goes) of games such as Super Mario 64, Portal 2, and recently Battlefield 3, which could really inspire you. It's much harder to commentate a video than write a blog though, you won't sound natural at all during your first videos and rendering long videos in good quality everyday can take quite a bit of time. But if you do that I'd gladly follow it as well. I still prefer reading blogs though, as it only contains the essential. Following long videos is sometimes annoying unless you're a very good commentator.

Thanks for the extra info. Im aware they are called vlogs, but i will check this MaximusBlack guy out and see if he gives me any ideas. And you are right. I will most likely sound awkward and confused at the start, but hopefully that will improve as time goes on. As for the time it takes to actually make the videos (editing and whatnot), I will just have to try and see if it is something I am willing (and capable) to do. The reason video appeals to me, is that the internet has ruined my command of the written word (use this post as an example); however i still believe i sound like a fairly intelligent person. And as far as long videos go....it may end up being more of a highlight reel.

Also i will be going into the game completely blind. I will not be using a strategy guide or anything that resembles one. 95% of my skyrim knowledge has come directly from this forum. The rest has come from random youtube clips, and no, I didnt see the infamous leaked footage that recently surfaced. So it will all be a fresh new experience for me. Im excited to test this out and see how it goes.

I'm going to write a 1 million word article detailing my adventures in Skyrim.

This is a lie.

Wait, which part is the lie? WHICH PART IS THE LIEEEEE?

Only downside is it can also spoil the game for others, but that also reminds me of the old days when you'd team up with friends to beat games like Zelda or Mario 64 instead of having Wikipedia set up with all the answers for you.

I remember it too, but in all fairness I never have nor will I use UESP for example when it comes to TES. I don't even buy the guide till months after to fill in the gaps just so I continue to have that feeling of discovery. Blogs would kinda ruin it for me but to each their own. I also don't want to record my game, I want ot play it and focus on my enjoyment.

Just one thing here, don't try to write like an "intelligent". People who try to "impress" others by using rare words / periods at the end of sentences in chatboxes / etc sound arrogant or egocentric. Nothing against periods on forums and blogs but be yourself.

Ok....Youtube channel has been created. Now for me to try to prepare for the release.

You can check it out now if you want....but theres nothing there.
