  1. I feel the same. I have yet to see someone smile for example, most are very unfriendly in their tone to you when speaking, yes some are helpful but its a harsh cold area with very tough people, and if I had been creating the province of the Nords, I would probably have made them exactly the same.
  2. Iv'e only found one! Wonder how many there are in total to find?
  3. I totally agree with you about the story writers at Cyan for the Myst games. If I could visit Bethesda and talk to the guys, I would encourage them to play all of the Myst games (if they haven't already done so that is!) to see how to do it. Get the story right (and its various conclusions if it branches or has choices) and then build everything else around it.
  4. I haven't killed Lydia yet but its a wonder that I haven't! She is always getting in the way of my arrows.
  5. You all must be aware by now how Bethesda love to keep lot's of things 'up their sleeves' to surprise us all. I wondered why they weren't showing the intro (which we all saw for Oblivion, at least where you are in the cell and meet the emperor ) so I think there will be plenty of gob smacking surprises in store for us all in this wonderful tale that will enfold next week.
  6. I have already got mine sorted on Blogspot for my Skyrim journal. It's here at http://elderadventurer.blogspot.com/ ready for my first input of my story.
  7. I try to make my character look as much like me (and also act as I would if I was really there) as I possibly can. Of course I don't make them my age, they are a much younger version.
  8. Now there's a video containing all of the new shots with soundtrack explaining which city or town they are of. Take a look. Video Link
  9. Oblivion was a early release for the 360. Time and experience is the difference. I totally agree. When Beth did Oblivion, they were working 'blind' they didn't know what they could and couldn't do with it, now they have got the whole hardware and capabilities sussed, and doesn't it show!
  10. I have been wanting to see some footage of the towns and cities and at last we can see how different each city is and how the inhabitants go about their daily business. It's all so well captured, the atmosphere, the Lord sat upon his throne, the market sellers, I nearly burst into tears! I can't wait to walk those streets and converse with the people! Bethesda, you guys rock! Thank goodness you all exist, that's all I can say......
  11. It's Pine Watch where he encounters a the bandit leader who's a very tough to beat woman.
  12. I have just read an article where we will be able to loot dragon corpses but their bones will remain. So you could come back at some later stage and see the bones of the first dragon you slay laid there. My link
  13. I can't wait to visit Markarth it looks like no other city I have ever seen in any of the Elder Scrolls games. I am sure there will be lot's of very interesting things to 'unearth' in that city and as an explorer I won't leave until I have found everything.
  14. Sorry, my apologies, I'll post things in the info thread in future. It's just that I had not read that preview before on here so thought it was a new one.
  15. Or better still, begin a blog on Blogspot or Wordpress all about your character (your Skyrim character is of course the author) then you can write about the whole of your adventure and include your photos of the screen etc as you play! Would make for some interesting stories for others to follow and read.
  16. Haven't read this preview before everyone and it sounds very interesting. The reviewer finds what seems like a lonely farmhouse and .....read on. http://www.gamesradar.com/skyrim-preview-secret-of-pinewatch-sanctuary/
  17. Here's the full HD footage on YouTube http://youtu.be/p-uHj_Vmq3Y?hd=1
  18. I will be doing this, but on my Adventures in Skyrim blog. (with pictures if I can)
  19. Pete Hines has confirmed that there will be treasure maps for you to find in Skyrim. Also that there is more media to come before the launch date. He also confirmed to me via twitter that the Skyrim t-shirts wiill be available world wide to purchase! It just keeps on getting better and better! :D
  20. You can feel safe in the knowledge that you are not alone!
  21. I will have the heating turned up full as I hate being cold and the game will make me feel cold looking at all that snow and ice.
  22. Yes, I feel exactly the same! The font used in Oblivion looked right, it was sort of emulating old world writing. The font used in Skyrim isn't the same. It doesn't gel with the game somehow.
