So yeah, it's simple. After just a few minutes of playing it crashes to the desktop. I have loads of mods installed and the crashes happen randomly which makes this really hard to troubleshoot on my own. I have all of the current expansion packs. Unfortunately bbcode doesn't work on this forum, otherwise I would just hide the below list :wallbash:

I am also running the current build of both NVSE and FOMM, and every mod is patched since yesterday.

 

My system is clearly good enough to play this game and shouldn't be the cause of my problem.

 

System:

i7-2600k

GTX 560Ti DirectCU 2

8GiB RAM

are u using the 4gb loader?

 

Probably ctd from ram maxing out with that many mods.

 

Do you mean that the game is maxing out 8GB of memory? That's crazy! o_O Actually, I installed the 4GB loader like 40 minutes ago and the only time it crashes for me now is when I enter an interior. Fortunately that doesn't happen too often. I also have removed a few mods that I didn't like but I don't remember which ones.

Dont forget to install the nvse compatible loader which you get on the nvse page at the bottom where it says "alternate loader"

 

If you enter an area or interior that loads something that requires nvse it will ctd.

 

...and no, i meant that your ram was maxing out at 2gigs with the default game setting limit.

Ah, I see. 2GB isn't really enough for anything nowadays, stupid Obsidian/Bethesda! Yeah I have the NVSE compatible version installed. Maybe it's related to the ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated mod? My problem is that I can't deactivate it.

use this method for archive:

Download the MANUAL VERSION file of archive invalidation invalidated here: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944

 

Its for fallout 3 but it is the same thing. Drop it in your data folder

 

Then go to Documents\My Games\ FalloutNV and right click the Fallout doc. Look at Properties, if it is Read Only uncheck it. Open the doc and Ctrl+f. Find SInvalidationFile. Change the [Archive] block to look like this:

In the same folder find the FalloutPrefs doc. Again, look at Properties, if it is Read Only uncheck it. Open the doc and Ctrl+f. Find SInvalidationFile. Change the [Archive] block to like you did for the Fallout doc.

 

Now go to Program Files\Steam\steammaps\common\fallout new vegas and open the Fallout_default config doc. Change the [Archive] block like you did for the Fallout doc.

 

Once all of that is done, open the FOMM. Go to Tools and select Archive Invalidation from the drop down menu. Toggle archive invalidation on and off and then leave it ON.

 

 

This has wored for me and never had any problems. sorry, letter between j and l not woring on eyboard

Actually, nevermind that. The game crashed after a few seconds in :wallbash:

It also happens when I quicksave the game. I'll stop doing that from now on.
