Plausibility of Stealth character

After watching one of the trailers where an assassins type character had a throat slitting animation from behind I thought it would be cool to do an assassin or thief character. My question is how would it work because a huge part of skyrim is killing dragons and I'm not sure how a thief or assassin type character could kill a dragon. Does anyone know how it being an assassin or thief would work? Thaks :)

It'll probably work well. You can choose between health, magicka and stamina on each level, so you can always up your health a bit if insecure. I'm also pretty sure that dual wielding poison daggers will do serious damage to dragons. Combine that with some dragon shouts and you'll be good to go.

Lure the dragon into the next big city or town, let it kill the citizens, shoot a poisoned arrow or two, shout at will, watch the guards fight the dragon (and get smashed  ) and then take it down with another few poisoned arrows.

Result: Easy dragon kill plus a town full of loot :D

And for all that reason I plan on playing with Archery or Destruction so I can have ranged attacks. Dragon shouts have cooldown I can't count on them, but they'll be very helpful.

Dragons DO actually land on the ground, lol. They won't stay in the air for the entire encounter. The only thing they can hit you with while remaining out of melee reach would be their own shouts.
