A stone? Big and glowy?

Northeast of the Smashed Mine, I come upon the first "summoned weapons" stones ( on my new character ), except this one was red. I think "Ok..." I walk over, expecting some great treasure. I "activate" the stone and it gives me a message to the effect of "I don't have enough fame" (I thought) I almost shrug and start walking before I noticed the name wasn't of a divine or Daedra. I notice it has my (main's name)'s Stone.

Anyways, has anyone else found random big red glowy stones that commemorate your main beating the game?

-Love always,

Probably a coincidence based on how you named your character. There are stones named after some of the birthsigns, and a fre other things.

... How'd you know? STALKER!!

I didn't name him after anything ( I thought ) in the game world though, as this is my first TES game

EDIT: I didn't name him anything, actually, besides "ian" after Sith from Star Wars 0.0

Aye. I would presume that "Sithian" in the TES world pertains to Sithis, something of great interest to the Dark Brotherhood.

Superficially, Sithis is considered the personification of Death. It sort of fits. After all, death transcends the contrast between gods and demons, between Daedric princes and the Nine Divines, and stands beyond them as one half of the fundamental essences of existence (or in this case being the lack thereof, the Void).

If the light cast upon one half of a sphere can be considered the Aedra, the shadow behind it the Daedra and the sphere itself comprises all the planes of existence, then Sithis is the emptiness in which all this (Light, Shadow, and Sphere) swims within. It defines the size and shape of existence by being all that where existence stops.

That's just my guess, of course.

Yes, what we know about Sithis is so vague one can practically make something up and it would be plausible. I do however, Agree with your definition. Anyway, what you found was a "Doom stone", which will grant you a new greater power if you meet the requirements. The requirement is a combined fame + infamy of a certain value or higher. The value changes between each one, ranging from 10 to 70 at 10 point increments. Sithian requires combined fame and infamy of 40. It gives you the spell "Sithian Web" which:

-Fortifies Illusion 20 points for 2 minutes

-Fortifies Marksman 20 points for 2 minutes

-Fortifies Mercantile 20 points for 2 minutes

-Fortifies Security 20 points for 2 minutes

-Fortifies Speech craft 20 points for 2 minutes
