Does this mean if I give a file a low rating because it lacks an understandable read me, my rating will, or will not be deleted?

I don’t think the majority of uploaders have ever taken the time to read what you just posted.

 

(If you are a modder, who has and follows them, then this does not apply to you).

 

Based on my own experience I can certainly agree with those who believe a stronger gate or reporting system is needed.

 

What will happen when some child downloads NSFW content from this site because it was not properly labeled by the author?

 

Sometimes I wonder if content should be reviewed by, a voluntary group of veterans, to be sure that content, meets a minimum set of standards before it becomes available for download.

 

The Dark One requires at least three member submissions before he adds a tag to a file in the database. Is this so different?

A justified rating that is not abusive or offensive should not necessarily be removed. Those that say "I don't like this mod", "this mod sucks", " this mod is poo", "I prefer XXXXXX to this" are deleted with out any thought at all.

 

A rating without a comment is also removed, that is a 1 or a 10.....older ratings are normally not touched if they were before the comments were mandatory.

 

But all ratings of 1 are kind of looked out with a little scrutiny as we have had users with multiple accounts trying to skew the rating system to promote a favorite.

 

This is my favorite 1 rating, which I will not remove as a monument to stupidity, it is on my own release and I am not easily offended:
