Pff cheats are going to happen even if the game doesn't support directly, its up to the modders to decide.

Glitches is a concern to

Remeber there was a biig cheat in Oblivion, the zero physics paint brushes, and that sewer grate shortcut. I never used it myself though

I like cheats in games..after i complete the game without them i usually use them just for fun...when i played onlivion for 123352 time i just enjoyed making my magicka nearly infinite...getting all spells etc...though i was never using god mode...since it wasnt really needed :P

Well obviously it's the players choice, but personally after I;ve beaten the game I like to go through with cheats on and just kick the s*** outta everyone...always gives me a kick. And they can be really useful too, like say if something is broken (quest or somthing idk use your imagination) then most cheats can be used to bypass that particular glitch (if not sometimes without some unwanted effects which is always a downer) but either way..i think they should =/ oh well if they don't I won't cry over it.

Also @ hector games don't always have a console in em...for instance one that comes to mind is Shogun 2, and a couple others...but they don't have to have console commands.....

No one's telling you to cheat, now are they?

Anyway, some of the cheats are downright necessary for testing purposes, for example, TCL lets you get a better look at your environment, or occasionally get out if you're stuck.

TGM lets you test spells without worrying about skill level or magicka.

cheats and console are different concepts

consider the duplication glitch (Oblivion)

that's far more of a cheat

- and its almost impossible to use accidentally

or programming bugs that allow the use of scripted dialog to harvest multiple experience points/cash

how about immortal companions that you can shlep around with you for 3/4 of the game before completing their minor task that allows them to go home

or quest items with 0 weight that just happen to be almost god weapons . . . (most people's opinion of bumbra)

I have used the console for a lot of things exept cheating, sometimes NPCs die because they run into enemies, and thats just horrible, so i use ressurect on them

Also when modders are testing their mods they need a console to help them , sometimes, also it makes it easy to know if theres any shader error etc.

TCL has saved my bacon more than once.

And; "Oh noes, Steam is gonna turn off my achievements if I use the console!" I hate the whole achievement thing anyway so what do I care. :)

All that said, I almost never use cheats. To me it spoils the purpose of playing the game. Like I said, a couple of times I've been caught in clipping issues and TCL saved my bacon. Back in the Morrowind days, before I knew what other issues Speed dealt with, I upped that so it didn't take infinity and beyond to go from Seyda Neen to Vivec. Other than that, just to test out a few things here and there is all I use cheats for.
