LE A simple request - a "PG" rated mod

Okay, please no one burn me for this.

 

I'd like to see a mature filter mod to take out blood and sexual themes if any. I don't mean no injuries, I just don't want to see blood squirt out of every sward swing, also no oblivion hanging corpses, ect. The Dragnar are fine, so no worries there. I also don't mean get rid of the marriage function just saying no sexual themes by simple things like more covering undergarments. I'd also ask that the cannibalism be limited too like maybe available to a werewolf or a vampire player. I'd be willing to pay for a good mod of that sometimes. I'd have an optional no gay marriage add on to this for some of my christian buddies. Pretty much leave the rest of the game alone.

 

Yes I realize that the game was made with blood in it, but some people like these kind of mods. Others like to add blood or porno; I just don't want that and they can feel free to make and get as much as they want, I don't want to stop anyone from getting what they like. I just hope others have the same respect for this request.

True, I'm posting this because I read that Bethesda didn't put in a turn off blood feature, and I want that.

Well, even if there isn't an option to disable blood, there will be a mod for it eventually.

Ok, 1. If it's for your kids (correct me if I am wrong if its not), but they should not be playing skyrim, full stop. It is an adult game for adults, if you give them the illusion that they can play adult games, even if you do tell them its been made "PG" I think you are a bad parent. Because those kids are going to simply assume they are safe from this content and they are not. Stick with games that don't need censorship.

 

Simply put, they should not be exposed to adult content, censored or otherwise.

 

2. Your christian buddies need to toughen up, gay people exist, they can't shield themselves from that fact of life. If they are that intolerent, get new buddies.

 

3. This is an adult game, sex is a part of life, good and bad, and seeing as we have established no one under 18 should be playing this, your going to have to deal with the fact that sex is a fairly normal thing, and I have never understood why violence is OK, but sex is not.

 

4. I respect your decision to want less gore, which is great. I hope a modder can sort you out on this front, because violence is abhorrent, and if you don't like it, you should be able to shield yourself from it if that is your personal individual desire.

Minor correction: Skyrim is M, not AO. M is 17+.

 

I don't mind blood, but I might end up modding out graphic dismemberment if nobody else does, and if it ends up bothering me. I used a mod to get rid of it in FO3, because it made me sick to my stomach. Strangely, it didn't bother me nearly as much in NV. Maybe I'm getting jaded.

Ok, well in that case, censoring the violence and sexuality is a good idea, given I assume you are younger then I thought, but in the end you shouldn't be playing it unless you are 18 or over, or whatever the law is for your country. It is an adult game, and I stick by that.

 

Although, I commend you for not wanting to expose yourself to mature content, this shows you have a healthy mindset. I used to act similarly as a teenager and have always stayed out of trouble.

 

Although I hope maybe in time, you will someday rethink number 3. on your list there and realize people should be able to live their lives however they like, gay or not, provided they are adults and make conesentual decisions.

Yeah but also what would be the point of disabling that feature of the game if you're not going to use it anyway? Or is it some temptation thing? I mean the only person who would be able to marry a gay character would be you, the player, anyway.
