  1. It's called Replayability, dude. Also it prevents being even more OP than the player already is. Other than that, you can just cheat yourself to all the perks if you really want to do that. Nothing is actually preventing you from getting them if you really want them all.
  2. Seriously, I'd be more afraid of the bears than of the spiders :pinch:
  3. Guys wtf? Use paragraphs if you expect people to read your posts.
  4. During the main quest I once faced a dragon and 10+ Forsworns at the same time at master difficulty. EPIC battle. Incredible hard, but lots of fun and incredible to win stuff like that against all the odds.
  5. By that logic you could theoretically wear 10+ rings, couldn't you? Would be too OP thought.
  6. 103. Yeah! http://steamcommunity.com/id/XQYZ/stats/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim?tab=achievements
  7. If only they could add some sort of armor ... for horses. Well, one can only hope.
  8. I hope this isn't too big of a spoiler, but will there still be dragon souls (ie. dragons) after the main quest or do you need to collect some souls before you finish it to unlock all the shouts?
  9. Same for me. It crashed 4 times for me so far in 45 hours of playing it (yes, I played Skyrim ~17 hours a day so far). Personally I take it as a reminder to go eat something and open the window for a few minutes.
  10. First time picking up Nirnroot I was like "Please don't trigger a quest, please don't trigger a quest". I have a quest now where you need 20 nirnroot and some other plants for some alchemist. I sure hope that will be all of I'll have to collect.
  11. Oddly I prefer the controller for this (even though I never used it for anything but racing games I got used to it pretty quickly). The menu system just feels REALLY weird with the mouse. So unless somebody mods it to be like Oblivion I'm going to stick with the gamepad for now.
  12. I'd say nothing too major until about a week/few weeks in, because even modders want to get an impression of the game first. Before that only smaller "fixes" for stuff certain people find "too annoying" (eg. lockpicking or stuff like that).
  13. That list was pretty mediocre (One Disc as a feature, seriously? I'd take 200 discs if it means we're going to have an even more awesome game). Personal favorite so far seems to be the conversations and how people react to your actions. Seems like they improved on that A LOT since Oblivion and I'm sure it'll enrich my experience while playing it immensely.
  14. This. Not possible with steam. You cannot launch games if Steam knows that there is a patch available (ie. you activate it it checks for one) until it is downloaded and installed. So unless you pirate it as-well, no chance of playing an unpatched game.
  15. Not necessarily. Steam, however, is a 32bit Program which is why it's in that folder. There is nothing stopping 64bit apps to run from that directory thought, nor is there anything preventing steam from installing them to there. On another note: Where did you hear that Skyrim would be 64bit? Didn't hear about this before.
  16. Nevertheless it IS a discussion forum and therefore discussing mod proposals are also covered by that (especially if it could help potential modders to get an idea of what people think about a certain idea and how much interest there actually is in something). If you cannot tolerate other people's opinion you might as-well keep your ideas for yourself. Exactly this. -myrmaad
  17. Most just consider main story line essential in speed runs. At least that was the case for Oblivion/GTA Games.
  18. At last! I'll feel a lot better now that it's on my hard drive.
  19. I'd rather have a bard sing about the glorious adventures of the last Dovahkiin.
  20. How is it going to be installed then? Plus: how are the files encrypted if not by steam?
  21. Depends on where you live I guess, but I wouldn't be too worried about it in general.
  22. It's not illegal to have kids die in your game, it's just bad taste is it? Plus nobody is talking about explicitly killing children, just not having them being treated any differently than adult characters (ie. not immortal).
  23. Yeah but also what would be the point of disabling that feature of the game if you're not going to use it anyway? Or is it some temptation thing? I mean the only person who would be able to marry a gay character would be you, the player, anyway.
  24. Steam doesn't allow to run unpatched games if it detects that there is a patch available (ie. if you activate it and it "sees" the patch you must download it before you can launch the game).
