Oblivion XP - Crashes when I load a save

I'm having a problem just like this guy

I was using Oblivion XP fine until today and now it just crashes my game whenever I load the save data. If I disable Oblivion XP everything loads fine. It's really starting to piss me off since I can't figure out how to fix it and it was working earlier. I really like this mod since the normal oblivion level up stuff is bad imo

Well we can try to narrow it down though im no crash expert and this may be stuff you already have done. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable comes along.

 

You should be using OBMM to install oblivion XP so everything goes to the right directory.

Did you install any mod after oblivion XP that could potentially overlap and cause conflict? Maybe a new user interface, if so install that first and oblivion XP over it.

Make sure that you have MenuQue and the latest version of OBSE.

Try using BOSS to sort your load order.

Lastly maybe attempt a new save in a different region with oblivion XP not activated and then attempt to reactivate it and load the new save.

I have fully updated Oblivion XP, MenuQue, and OBSE. I used BOSS to sort my load order.

Koldorns Ayleid Ruins Textures

Mehrunes Dagon Retexture by themythofstrider

OBGE Liquid Water (gonna have to see what happened here, I only have an esp, but no OMOD)

Unique Landscapes Compilation (contains like all the unique landscapes)

VA's Better Gold

Detailed Terrain - Beta II (deactivated but perhaps I installed some bad files or something? Not sure what came with this install)

Not sure if this is going to work for you but try this. Deactivate the mods that you have gotten after getting the oblivion xp working one at a time. Check to see if you can load the save game with one mod deactivate after another. So basically deactivate Akatosh Mount and check the game and then deactivate dynamic map after etc etc. o_O :yes: Make sure when you deactivate the mods remove everything that is related to the mod you are deactivating or it'll complicate matters even more. :wallbash: This process would be easier if you have converted every mod into OMOD or BAIN (I use OMOD).

 

Looking at your mod lists I don't see anything that would make Oblivion XP malfunction except the Minimap. :excl: I also had hard time installing the Minimap and Oblivion XP together but I did not like the fact that there was no fog of war so I only use Oblivion XP. :down: Also make sure you activate BSA Redirection via the utilities option on your OBMM. :down: One more thing make sure you have UL patches also installed if you use any other plugins that conflict with UL.

Thank you for the help everyone; I finally fixed it.

 

I spent an few hours messing around with TES4Edit and Wrye Bash plus a topic I found after receiving an error installing OBGE (I thought OBGE Liquid Water might be the problem). I'm not sure what exactly I did to fix it but it works now, and I love all these mods.

 

Pretty much I disabled UAC and used Wrye Bash and got an error, so I had to go to TES4Edit and find all the files that had unicode in them and also change the Windows Explorer filename )this is just so I could install OBGE with Wrye Bash)

 

Then I used BOSS and reordered everything and re-activated my mods and it suddenly worked. I'm not complaining that I don't know how but it sucks that I don't have a set solution for anyone else that may have this problem in the future. :(

I Seem to have a problem with this mod. When I level up and then save after the game crashes when saving. OBSE says oblivion has crashed a crash dump has been created in the game directory
