TacticalAce
Ok in a game where there is a lot of violence and even diseases I feel like there should be some people that are considered doctors. If someone catches a disease they should go to the doctor and ask them how to cure it. So basically the player can pay a large amount of money for a cure from the doctor or pay less for ingredients to a cure. Feel free to add to this idea. xaliqen
Interesting, and potentially similar to Morrowind's alchemists? Of course, one can also look at other games (such as Assassin's Creed II) for their version of the apothecary. I like the quest potential for this idea. In Morrowind there were a few memorable quests involving alchemists, perhaps something similar would suit the world of Skyrim?
Aluminumfoil
Why would anybody pay a doctor for a mundane remedy that will take a long time and might not work, when you could go to any skilled Restorationist or Alchemist and pay them to magically cure your disease instantly? Cure quests themselves are a fantastic idea, but for mundane injury or disease it just doesn't make sense in the universe, to me. There was a great little cure quest in one of the mods I played with Oblivion. You got poisoned at the beginning of the quest, and you started dying slowly of stat loss. You had to track down a cure before it killed you. Something like that certainly works in Elder Scrolls: it just needs to be a special kind of poison or disease that Cure magic doesn't work on. Oblivion's Vampirism could be viewed as a cure quest, too, now that I think about it.
