PN, Ahztek, AWOP, and BOE

CTD's are actually very typical in FO3 an NV. In order to get the most stability the creators did what they could do based on not taxing a machine too much. Mods on the other hand tax the machine a lot and use lots of resources. The more mods, the more resources, and when the computer has reached it's limit on resources use, instead of exploding it shuts the program down. Here's the thing, if your convinced you have a powerful enough computer to handle the mods, it's usually a conflict issue among mods. The only safe way to know if the mods mesh well is to use FNVEdit to see what overwrites what. Things that change the same thing as other mods cause conflicts and CTDs. Modders also produce compatibility patches to reduce problems. However if the mods in question don't already list a claim or effort made to be compatible with the others, than it's safe to assume it's not compatible, and with the FOOK always assume because if it wasn't included, further changes that add to the enormous amount of changes in the FOOK will cause problems.

Hope that helps.

Personally I have used all those mods together for the best part of a year (with the exception of PN which I added recently) without dropping any or experiencing any problems. I also use several other mods such as patches to drop BOE & Shrapnel gear into AWOP locations, again with no issue.

FNV is a little buggy now and then but even at it's very worst you should only expect 1 CTD every 4 hours or so max.

The only times I get CTDs or hang-loads are for one of the following reasons:

1: Badly installed mod : A mod is missing resources or it's master files.

2: Bad load order : Don't just look out for files not loading before thier masters because large content mods can make a huge difference when lowered or raised in the load order (e.g I always load AWOP last out of my ESM files coz it adds so much content it needs to boss the other ESMs around a little).

3: Outdated mod : This can be a mod that has not been updated since the last FNV patch or a mod that effects another mod that has not been properly updated in conjunction with it's master).

4: Bad mod: This actually almost never happens and the only times I feel like I have experienced a game killing mod I was too new to modding to make that judgement for sure (it may just have been my lack of skills).

These have been my experiences after three years of using mods and two years of modding. I hope that's of some help.

Also using those mods I would load them in the following order:

FalloutNewVegas.esm

Caliber.esm

PNCore.esm

Mo.esm

AWorldOfPain.esm

Ahztek's Weapon Overhaul.esp

[Any Project Nevada esps]

[Any BOE/Mo esp]

[Any AWOP Patches]
