Nebrule
http://www.direct2drive.com/3/11413/product/Buy-The-Elder-Scrolls-V:-Skyrim-Download?hph Well I didn't see this coming, D2D is offering a pre-load, right now. steam...? Steam..? STEAM!!! but d2d severs are hellishly slow compared to steam so, no regrets here.
DyingAtheist
I don't know if it's changed or what-not, but that link doesn't work, and when I go on their site there's no mention of it being downloadable.Plus it's £5 more expensive!
FoolyFooly
It dosen't matter who releases it for pre-load first, because you can't play the game untill the 11th. So wether Steam opens it for pre-load a week early or 12 hours before launch is irrelevant.
jason27131
btw just so you guys know, the D2D version gives a cd-key which you can use to register the game on steam. I just did it

jason27131
Yes. I'm downloading the game files off D2D, but at the same time, I have the game in my steam game list right now, so I can preload off steam whenever that comes around as well. For all intents and purposes, I have the steam version of the game for 15$ less.
Ceryury
How is it going to be installed then? Plus: how are the files encrypted if not by steam?
jason27131
Do I care? I HAVE THE GAME IN MY STEAM LIST. I'll just preload it off steam whenever it arrives. All I needed Direct2Drive for was the cdkey, which is a steam key. The files I could care less about.
