Alistair rant....

I love my Alistair just as much as the rest of the Alistair worshippers out there, but he really can be a whiney butt at times. it grrrr's me so bad when I side with the Templars and can't go get the mages to save Connor and he chews my butt out for doing it. I never kill the kid and he knows I couldn't use the mages but he still rips me a new one when we get back to camp. AND you can't get po's with him about lying about his parentage or dumps your butt. it's a danged if you do and danged if you don't kinda thing. there is no winning with it. you have to kiss his royal pain in the butt all the time. grrrrrrrrrrr

Oh I always kill isolde. if she had just followed the law no of that would have happened and I wouldn't have to get my butt crawled by Alistair. plus she cost the lives of many villagers with her actions. I can understand Alistair getting upset when I side with the mages and still kill her, but there is no other option except for killing Connor if you choose the templars. Oh and I always kill w ynne too. Lol i cant stand that old lady. lol

this is the first time played it all the way thru in like forever and I had forgotten a lot of his not so stellar moments. butt pc crashed and burned and I had to get a new one. I never realized until now just how much lag that old thing had on it. plus I'm having fun getting all my achievements again. lol

Ha! Alice can be incredibly whiny, true. I wonder if it is to let your Warden come across as more mature?

At any rate, yeah, if you want the templars, then Alice will complain. The only "good" version is if you listen closely, heed the information the demon is contained, but not blindly trust your or your other mages' abilities, instead deciding to run for Kinloch Hold and get the band of professionals, so to speak. I prefer this option, though not to remain in his good graces. I can be friends with him without abandoning my own brain (I hope he values that in the friendship). And yes, he really ought to broaden his horizons. Sometimes I wonder who of the other companions completely does not rub him in the wrong way. The mabari?

Riiight, up to the cannibalism talk... Then the dog is offended .

"Oh I always kill Isolde" hee hee

"Oh and I always kill Wynne too" Bloodthirsty, wow.

So do you kill Wynne from get go or do you wait until you agree with Cullen?

So funny. I morphed Wynne into an older gal and was very pleased with the results so I keep the old windbag anyway, and does anybody like Isolde? I don't.

I wait until the Cullen cutscene. I haven't been able to stand her since the very first time I played the game. I let her talk me into breaking up with Alistair. like a dumb butt I hoped he would talk me out of it but no.....he just panseyed out on me and didn't. so I had to load an old save to get him back. and THEN the old hussy started talking smack to MY man in return to ostagar. it's bad enough I have to let him sleep with morrigan to keep him alive. I aint about to let that slutty old mage sweet talk him. plus I can't stand her preachy attitude. so she's gotta die...every time. :P Edited by LadyHonor

Isn't there an option to get some kind of reward from Isolde if you save Connor with the mages help?

I think I tried that once and there was NO REWARD, but a whiney thanks. That is why I don't like her.

Yep, old Wynne complaining about the noise coming from your tent. Duty before pleasure.

I make her into a mean damager and not a healer as the game intends.

I hate Isolde, I saved her in my first playthrough just because I was the "goody-guy" since then i always try to kill her, I believe anyone has a chance of redeption... up to the point where that someone is not even sorry and actually wants to kill the poor mage(Jowan) who was doing this for Loghain who, from all he knew was a hero AND the regent jsut like the majority of nobles knew. If you kill Jowan for that, then you can aswell hang all the nobles who EVER supported loghain, an also Isolde cause she seems to escape with NO punishment even if she basically let an entire village to be slaughtered and(without the grey warden) would have taken the last hope from them(bann Teagan).

The fact that she expects Jowan to die for such a small thing compared to what she did annoys me.

At the Alistair part I agree, he shouldn't complain to you when there is no other choice. As for Wynne... eh she is "nice" to a point, in my second playthrough I listened to Morrigan's words and when she said the mages are like slaves I told her she might be right. Then the old woman got pissed cause my advisor is a maleficarum as if she'd know that for sure. So I killed her and still saved the circle. :P
