kingtitan
As we quickly approach Friday, I wanted to post a thread to discuss some of my observations and perhaps any that you too have made that I have missed. Some of these may have been discussed elsewhere, and if so I apologize. But without further ado, here are some of my observations/speculations/predictions. In the main theme song, one of the lines is "Dovakiin, our king" (as I'm sure you are very aware of). It took me a while to put this together (Lord knows why, it seems so obvious now), but does that mean that the player will have the chance to ascend the throne in Skyrim? I'm not so sure how well such a story would tie in with the lore (for instance, a khajiit becoming king of the nords), but I was extremely disappointed in Oblivion how I could not assume the throne after the emperor and emperor-to-be had passed on; I mean, after all, I was like all of you the obvious replacement! I can't wait to find out for sure, I just thought that line in the song should provoke a bit of thought. On a bit more technical note, from the videos I have seen it appears that some clothing items are havoked now? For instance, I saw a very short clip of the player fighting a giant and the giant's loincloth seemed to be moving with the movement of the giant. I may have reasoned it wrong, but on the bright side at least we don't have to deal with those pesky entirely static meshes of oblivion any more! I feel that I have made more observations, but for some reason I can't remember them off the top of my head. If these have already been discussed before, again I apologize! Please share your thoughts!
justwannaddl
In defense of the Champion of Cyrodiil, after Oblivion, the hero did have his hands full with Shivering Isles becoming a god. I also doubt anyone would have wanted an Emperor who came out of that place no matter how powerful or noble they seemed. The havoked clothing did look cool. It makes me wonder how prevalent it is and what modders can do with it.
TwiggySkyrim
If it's done with havok it'll be done by having bones on the animation skeletons which have havoc physics applied to them. Modders will only be able to add havok to places where the bones already exist, until an updated skeleton is made. Hopefully theres enough bones added already for some pretty cool armors.
