I'm no longer sure how the 5750 will fare with newer games, and I want to know how well the E4400 will keep, as my Core 2 Quad chip is still in the mail. Lutine
Zero replies. How helpful. I'll simplify my question:On what settings could I run the E4400 on? What about the Q6600 Quad core?
maboru
Most of us in North America haven't gotten it yet so we don't really know but you meet the minimum specs and shouldn't hope for more than Low settings, the DDR2 may further bottleneck you. Good luck though and let us know how it actually works for you!
Lutine
When you say the DDR2 will bottleneck my rig, do you mean my current one, or my future, C2Q rig?
maboru
Either one, DDR2 is obsolete. If your motherboard can handle it upgrade to DDR3, online you can order 4gig of it for around $25. Actually your video card may get it up to medium settings if this gentleman is correct - http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1254956-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-skyrim-thread-53-w-hardware-guide/ . Lutine
Thanks for the link.I'll post again when I can get everything together.I'll call it a success if I can get high on 15-20fps. :P
