gibronio
Okay, so heres the thing. I run a Windows 7 64 bit computer, and I put in the disc, alls fine. I download Skyrim from the disc, and it finishes, then patches from 96% to 100%. Once it completes, it boots me out of steam. I can now no longer open steam. I have tried deleting the blob files, uninstalling and reinstalling steam, then Skyrim. Nothing seems to work. And I have also discovered I can sort of run the game, if I just go into steam files and click on the application. But it opens in a tiny window in the corner of my screen and I don't know how to enlarge it. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it my operating system? Steam forums are down so they're no help. Thanks for any help, G
anandus
Try rebooting and starting Steam again. Do you have the same issues?

JERorly
Have you tried rebooting your computer? That sounds very weird. Also, try ALT + ENTER to maximize the screen, as a work around.

gibronio
Alt enter doesn't work, and I can't verify integrity, because once I have been booted after Skyrim has finished downloading, I can no longer connect to steam. Something I have recently noticed - I am kicked from steam if I try to download the game at all, cd or no. Frustrating.
anandus
But try to start Steam (maybe after a reboot) and don't start Skyrim, first try to verify this integrity. Is this possible? Although I must say it's an odd (and for you really annoying) problem.Something I have recently noticed - I am kicked from steam if I try to download the game at all, cd or no. Frustrating. Weird. But you can normally start Steam and log in?

Weird. But you can normally start Steam and log in? At present Skyrim is not downloaded. I did a rollback on my computer and uninstalled and reinstalled steam. It opens fine, but the moment i try to download Skyrim, boom - kicked. The integrity is greyed out because it isn't installed. And if I try to install from the disk, Steam stops working. Thanks for trying to help :) I may just open a ticket and harass my gamestore, see if it's a common occurance.
anandus
It's an odd problem, man.And the Steam forums are also still down, which isn't helping.
maboru
Perhaps the Steam servers can't handle all the traffic on release day. If so then when North America gets to downloading starting midnight local time tonight things could get dicey. For what it's worth I just logged on to Steam and verified my FONV cache with no problem though and Steam downloaded another Steam software fix.
