It doesn't launch is self explanatory no? I can't launch the game as it crashes directly to the desktop

The problem is pretty straightforward: I launch the game, it flickers to full screen, switch aero off, flicker back to desktop and gives me the error message this application has stopped running.

 

I'm not sure. :/ Try running in compatibilty mode?
