JesterDoobie
I found a free canteen mesh for a mod I'm working on and added it to the game almost ok, it exists and renders fine, stays in INV fine, but when I drop it or spawn it on the ground it hovers 3 feet in the air and is un-selectable. Absolute newb with meshes/models but I'm learning. Likely just something I didn't add to/change in Nifskope to make it actually usable. Any assistance will earn kudos from me, I'm stuck and don't know enough to proceed. <edit:> I've followed several tutorials here and on various other sites, but they all include stuff that doesn't seem to apply to me like BSSubIndexTriShape (I have BSTriShape, but no "SubIndex") or they tell me to try right-click :Node==>add property when I cannot. Very frustrating. I'm using 3DSMax, Nifskope, ck, and fo4Edit and ancillary utilities like the BAE, ect Edited June 15, 2016 by JesterDoobie
TrickyVein
The mesh is probably missing collision. For a misc. object like a canteen, it's easiest to copy a collision object from a similar-looking .nif from the game and paste it into your .nif.
