eth_ch3
I added a custom equipable item (occupies the tail slot) to the inventory of an NPC. But how do I get him to equip it automatically like the clothes already in his inventory? Do I need to use a script? Thanks.
Sypron
They normally put on new items when they wake up, based on their value I believe. Or maybe its alphabetical.
eth_ch3
I waited 24 hr (for the NPC to sleep and go back to store), but he still refused to wear the item (custom glasses). How do I get him to wear it?

You have to use scripting, either on the item or the NPC to force the NPC to use it, and use scripting to prevent them from removing it.
LFact
A temporary solution: Press ~ to activate console, then clock the NPC. Type equipitem 'itemid', (value). Your NPC will equip the item. But I'm not sure if the NPC will ever unequip it..
Lord Slyther
Try using the amulet or ring slot. I'm 100% sure it will show.
