Zweihander38
I just got Skyrim, popped it in and started it up. On ultra with full AA, the first cutscene was slower the molasses. I have duel Radeon 6970's and a i5 2500k processor. Is there any solution to my predicament?

I have the same graphics card and a similar CPU and was getting the same issues... I tinkered around a lot with the game settings and the settings in CCC... Currently running on all Ultra Settings with shadows turned down to high... In my CCC v-sync is disabled, Anti-aliasing mode is set to "performance", Catalyst AI is set to "quality" and all other settings are "use application settings"... Game runs great now and the laggy mouse issue is resolved as well...
Marishi
I'm using an nvidia 8800GTX, really quite old now but aside from crappy looking shadows (which have now been disabled thanks to another post on this forum) it seems to be running ok with 8x aa and 16x filtering. JimboUK
It's the Crossfire, there's an issue with it. Its not a general ATI issue, my 5870 is loving it.
PowderdToastMan
It will also do this if you select a resolution that doesnt match your screen. Like if you pick 720 x whatever and your resolution is actually 1366x 768. I have confirmed this for televisions thru hdmi. Make sure you have the correct output setting or you will get 5 fps tops
