Dragon City Mod

You could build different city districts in different styles. A Corner of the City with Chorrol-like houses, one with Anvil-like Houses...

Dont use Bravil Houses though, they look crappy =)

Underneath the City, there should be rolling Hills, so that the city tiers are connected only by bridges, but still standing on the same floating island.

If the City is to be consistent of seperated floating islands, interconnected only by those Bridges, the whole Thing will look fragile :/

There are different districts. There is no middle class here; the priests live below the temple, the middle class lives there on that lower left island, the upper class and the guilds are on an island I haven't buil yet, but that is next. The farmers, comsidered important and so not lower class, live in their own district as well, with dirt to farm (most likely in the nature preserve). The city guards and the jail are on a tier that is both beneath and connected to that large Council Chamber on the left. The riders live on the top level, to the right, and the Master lives on the top left.

I see what you mean about the land, as making the island actually float would've been my first idea. However, seeing as this is impossible, I decided to make it this way, and blame it on Ayleid magic. Making any part of the city attatched to the ground now would now seem silly because then the people would be vulnerable. Also, I put the city ridiculously high up and so it would be hard to lower it back down properly.

About the Half-Dragons; in this context, that would be kind of weird. It would also be tough to make, and require at least a new head mesh. So, no, not in this mod. Sorry. I am going to do special armor for the riders and, if I can, for the dragons too. Someone tell me, is that possible? You know, like Horse Armor?

Indeed. I fixed that problem by abandoning the rocks idea and using larger versions of the Ayleid blocks. They are not only visible from just as far away as everything else, but they fit the theme, too.

Soooooo, Login... Do you have any ideas that would fit into the city? I need some input that doesn't involve custom races and diverse architecture (not that I don't enjoy you two's input...).

By modules, I just meant the clearly separate areas branching off from the main "circle" path. Come to think of it, some more paths connecting said areas might be a good idea... A lot of them appear close enough that going to the main circle and back would waste time/unnecessarily increase traffic crowds.

So far, there are only four "modules". But even though there will be more, they are set up so that this is the point. In truth, the top level will only have two, and civilians have no need to go up there. The middle level has four, but one is for guards and another is the Temple (not used by everyone too often), leaving two high-traffic islands. Not bad. And the third level will also be kind of specialized (gardens, farming, etc...). Thanks anyway for the input.

That's already set up. Since the riders will be pretty much stationary except during the final quest battle (...), the player will be given the run of the mill on the top floor. There is a Dragon Stable for long stays, and for a quick landing there is space just in front of this area.

For floating cities, usually the buildings don't stand out but the entrances are "underground" leading into the core of the floating city.

Well it depends on the type of land it is... But maybe a dungeon in the underground part?
