Nifskope Imports possible yet?

I havent yet figuered out how to import the Skyrim Nifs into Nifskope.

 

Nifskope is like one and a half year old. Has anybody found out a way yet? I wonder

 

Blender importer for 2.49 also doesnt eat that stuff yet.

 

So I did a completly new body for skyrim. The body is ready with textures but

i need to figure how i could import the skyrim skeleton to set up bone weights.

Have you been able to extract the Meshes.BSA file..? If you have be able to, can you show us which extractor you used. I have tried FOMM on the textures.bsa, and that extracts fine, but the meshes.bsa wont extract with any current *.bsa extractors. I have tried all the main ones..

Dont know about nifskope yet but I will try and get the nif's into 3dsmax once I get access to the nifs..

I extracted meshes.bsa with FOMM, it works. And bsa commander works two, but you need a manipulation to do so, and I don't know it.

 

About nifskope and blender/3dsmax, you'll have to wait a while. People need to figure out the structure of skyrim nifs and make an update for nifskope and blender/3ds scripts, this won't be done overnight. A proper Skyrim bsa extractor should come sooner, I think.

 

So, wait&see.

I did use FOMM also. A very old version too. No problems so far

 

I spoke with one of the NIFTOOLS guys and they told me they work on a updated Nifskope wich is soon to come.

But untill then I highly doubt that someone can come up with new models or body replacers.

 

If Nifskope is out we still need to wait till they can include skyrim into niftools for import/export of nifs

into 3D software like Blender/Maya/3DsMax

 

Texture mods are fully possible. Just unpack dds. files of your liking and manipulate them in Gimp/Shop

Dont know about nifskope yet but I will try and get the nif's into 3dsmax once I get access to the nifs..

I used FO3 Archive Utility and that worked on meshes and textures.

Throttlekitty made a nif.xml which allows you to open most skyrim .nif's in nifskope, but you can't edit/save or do anything else really than see them, I used it to export an .obj which I them imported to Blender, strictly for texturing purposes of course, not for editing. Just wait for it :)
