Mycu
Hi,from some point my rock solid Fallout started to crash before main menu appears.I have no missing masters, no critical conflicts in xEdit either (having over 230 esp enabled).Strange thing is that when I run F4 first time after computer boot - it randomly starts only first or second time. Also if I make some changes to my load order - it starts once but after restarting game it constantly crashes before main menu is shown. Also for example if I change F4 launcher settings to low - it starts only first time, then after game restart - constantly CTD. And if I'll change settings back to ultra - once again - first start is ok and each other crashes... I've tried borderless mode - no luck.Recreates Fallout4.ini - no luckDisabled steam overlay - no luck.Disabled ENB/Reshade/Shadow Boost - no luckDisabled custom textures/interface/scripts - no luck also. What else might cause this? Edited June 17, 2016 by Mycu
Royhr
Is your game video setting the same as your Windows desktop video setting. Maybe it got reset at some point. This will cause a CTD before you get to the game menu. Also have you validated your game cache? Didn't see it mentioned above. Will it start with your mods uninstalled and not just disabled? You could try to uninstall and then reinstall the game if all else fails.
Mycu
yes, forgot to mention that I've validated game cache also but it didn't help. What do you mean with equal game and desktop video settings? Edited June 18, 2016 by Mycu
Royhr
Well launch the game using steam or directly from the FO4.exe. That will take you to the main game menu showing you Start, Options, Support and Exit. Select Options and you will then be able to see and select your game resolution. This must be the same as whatever you have your Windows Desktop screen resolution set to. For your Windows resolution (this is for Windows 10 by the way) right click on your desktop. Then in the right screen select Advanced Display Settings. This will show you what you have the resolution set to.
Mycu
Thanks for detailed clarification - but yes, my game resolution covers desktop resolution. No other graphic settings are forced in nVidia control panel.I'll probably have to reinstall my... 350+ mods...
