Did I ever tell you

I actually wrote poems about it; and Maybe even got a little brain fragged about it. But if you want to replace some of the holiday reruns with a good group of quality episodes get the TV series. If you like that then get the movie.

Serenity sail true a sea of damnation

River of blood find Abomination

OH Sweet Miranda!

Wash; Shiny thorn bird; soal of Serenity

Bring Reavers to bear, sharp shards in the air

fear sharpens your wings as you sing to the 'Verse

"I'm a leaf on the wind; watch how I soar"

You float and you flutter right through the thick

Pierced by the thorn only to kik

Sweat River of blood

flow fresh from Damnation

sword of life and determination

Graceful tocsin of Mirandas' doom

Ring forth the Wave to every moon

from Cortex to core and the ends of the 'Verse

reveal and expose the Aliances' curse

Now

Our family is torn

three souls do we mourn

Wash, soul of Serenity

Book, soul of wizdom

Universe, soul of Cortex

our hearts are all worn

Serenity reborn!

The firefly, like the thorn bird, sang the most beautiful song as it was impaled on a thorn; the thorn of cancellation. I was living in my car while she flew and didn't even know such a beautiful story was being told until a Friend gave me the Serenity DVD as a gift. I was moved, as a Vet and like River just a little off. I can't finish this poem because I can't let the ship slip out of my mind. I don't even right poems but this story is a part of me. Does that make any sense?

Hah. I was only commenting on the mod. Or redirecting I suppose. But I used Focon to install/convert the face into my save game. I also tried FaceGen to Oblivion Converter but I got better results with the former.

  1. First get and Unpack Focon to a handy folder.
  2. next get and unpack Facegen of Summer Glau.
  3. I made a new save game with a mystic elf because I had a feeling River would fit best in a Mystic Elf race. But you can use any save game to transfer her face to, I think the PC should be female though.
  4. Start Focon.exe and click on Input.

    1. Use the selection window that opens to find and select the file Summer Glau.fg in the Summer_Glau-15082 folder
    2. Now click Output and find the save you wish to import the summer face to.
      • It should be in "[DRIVE]:\Documents and Settings\[Your Account]\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves"

[*]Now, I left all the settings at the default that the program came with and jut clicked Copy Face. I was well satisfied with the face I got but mayhaps I just got lucky.

Well, now that you got me started, I may as well tell you how to get her into a companion ESP.

For this I use Wrye Bash 136. It has a feature called Face Import > Import to Mod

http://wrye.ufrealms.net/Wrye%20Bash.html#ImporttoMod

Import to Mod(quoted from Wrye's readme)

• To import a face into a mod, select the mod, right click and select "Import Face".

Best Practice

• Start by creating an empty "PC Faces.esp" mod. You can easily do this by using the construction set, or you can copy "Blank.esp" from Mopy\Extras.

• Use this single mod as your face "library". Import any interesting faces from saves, then use TESCS to further edit "PC Faces.esp".

Notes/Warnings

• It's strongly suggested that you import only to a mod that contains nothing but npcs.

• Face Import does not check for unique editor ids. If this is a danger, edit the file in TESCS. TESCS will auto-rename any duplicated editor ids, but you'll probably want to rename manually (since DUPLICATE0000 is not so informative!)

Importing Non-standard Eyes/Hair

• Ordinarily, bash will only import eyes and hair that come from Oblivion.esm or the mod itself. However, it is possible to access eyes and hair from other mods with a little work.

• First, convert the source cosmetic esp to an esm. (On the mods tab of Bash, use the "Copy to Esm" function.)

• Now, open your face library esp in the construction set, but be sure to also load the new cosmetic esm. Then save (this will add the cosmetic esm to the master list of the face library esp).

• Next, go to the save, right-click on the cosmetic esp in the list of masters on the right side of the window, select "Change to...", and then select the esm version. (Here, you're switching the dependency from the esp to the esm version.) Then save.

Now go back to the mods tab and import the face. The eyes/hair should now be imported.

Note: I haven't done this with Summer/River yet but I plan to soon. Once I have the face in an esp or esm I can then copy it over to any companion mod, I hope. I think Red Headed Gang Quest and Girl Companion MOD with Duke Patricks The Lady Said NO REV 10p1 Gold EDITION might be a good choice.
