Castle White

Hello to everyone,

 

I've made this topic to inform you all about a new castle mod... Castle White! :)

The overall mod is complete. But before I upload it I would like to share some details with you and ask for your opinion on the given details.

 

Features:

 

> 14 Rooms

 

> 18 NPCs that staff the castle

 

> Secret Vault

 

> Icy location near Cloud Ruler Temple and Bruma

 

> Loads of resting chairs

 

> Large Master Bedroom

 

> NPCs train, sell/buy, recharge and repair

 

> More than enough storage and display

 

> Labeled chests in vault for those thing that you need to keep onto

 

> + Much more!

 

Rooms and their contents:

 

(x2) Display Rooms - {Overall amounts} 15 chests, 26 display cases (Various sizes), seven well equiped guards and seven small vault rooms (Doors locked and need a key, key found on a small stool/table next to a note).

 

(x1) Bedroom Hall - Complex of three full bedroom areas, 20 beds (For staff only), five halls and two well equiped guards.

 

(x1) Church - Two well equiped Priest/Guards and one rewarding altar (Blessing of the Nine).

 

(x1) Dining Hall - An enormously great 24 chair diningtable.

 

(x1) Entrance - Nicely decorated interior, one Butler, four display cases (Filled with rewards) and four small lounges.

 

(x1) Kitchen - Well stored food and over 10 types of food.

 

(x1) Library - Flourishing supply of books spread out over 10 bookcases and a rich supply of studying areas.

 

(x1) Lord's Quarters - Beautiful decor, one desk, five chairs (For those moments that you need to rest) and one master bed.

 

(x1) Smithy - One medium storage room, seating areas, one six part set of Castle White armor, one large upper class counter, one forge area and one Oblivion portal to Castle White Church.

 

(x1) Tavern - 41 chairs, six tables, one large middle class counter and one Bartender.

 

(x1) Mage's Tower - One Spellmaking Station, one Enchanting Station, two studying desks, three Mages (One sells alchemy ingredients, trains alchemy and recharges enchanted items).

 

(x1) Combat/Fighter's Tower - Three chain training dolls, three hay bails, one hay target and one fighter.

 

(x1) Vault - Isolated and secret, three chests and four barrels.

 

NPCs and their jobs:

 

(x7) Display Guards - Guarding the two display rooms.

 

(x2) Bedroom Guards - Guarding the Bedroom complex.

 

(x1) Butler - Nothing (In the future might sell new parts of the castle to the playerand hire more guards from him for the castle)

 

(x2) Priest/Guard - Watching the church (One trains the Restoration skill)

 

(x1) Bartender - Selling drinks.

 

(x1) Smith - Repairing, training the Armorer skill and selling/buying armor and weapons.

 

(x3) Mages - Studying and training (One trains the Destruction skill, one trains the Illusion skill and one sells/buys alchemy ingredients and trains the Alchemy skill)

 

(x1) Fighter - Training (He trains the Blade skill)

That sounds absolutely great, but I don't see a room or anything for evil players. I would feel extremely out-of-place there. If I go there will the guards attack me? And speaking of the guards, do their uniforms show that they belong in the castle or are they using the same uniform from one of the towns?

 

It actually sounds more like a castle for 'knights' rather than a castle for 'everybody.'

 

Anyway, as I said, it sounds beautiful.

Great Idea.

 

What about a huge tower which you can use to observe the beuitiful scenery outside with maybe some birds in the sky when your on top of the tower so you can shoot them off :P

 

Maybe also a prison with a lot of trapped criminals. If you want you can chat, interact, with the choice of making them go through a series of quests to give you more fame, money, and power while the prisoner does the quests for his freedom. If they're free you can hire them as a new guard or just let them go and they'll be interactable in a specified city.

 

You can also just simply let them free to give them mercy and you can set them to act as merchants at night in the cities to give you more money each day.

That sounds like a great mod, I look forward to playing it :)

 

@Destruction12345: So, were you planning to make the birds? Because I know very few people with the skills to make an entirely new creature, and all of them have other projects at the moment. And what exactly would be the point of making an NPC do a quest, that would be completely optional, and would serve no real purpose whatsoever? The entire point of quests is to give the player something to do- there's no point in having one if the player doesn't actually get to do it. And that's not even considering the fact that NPCs can't do quests anyway.

 

@Kj101 (again): your mod sounds like it might even be on a par with WarKirby's 'My Castle' mod, or some of Centurion's castles, which is no mean feat. It sounds very nice :)

In the future I'll try to make an evil room, as my player suits all types of characters I'm sure that it will be a great asset to the castle.

The castle it's self is compatible with every type of player from a Fighter, to a Mage, to a Theif. The scenery is very neutral and there is a Combat Tower (Melee & Ranged, suiting both the Fighter and the Theif) and a Mage's Tower (Self, Touch & Ranged, suiting the Mage)

I really like the idea of the huge tower that overlooks all the nature outside, but the birds now that would be a challenge! :) I will be able to make a dungeon with prisoners, I think that idea is great too, but the prisoners doing quests that would be a very hard challenge with both the scripting and the AI. :)

I like the merchant part of the idea, maybe I should make hireable (If that's a word :P) NPCs that do it instead of the prisoners?
