Marcvss
Can somebody please enlighten me as to how this shout business works please? I traveled all the way up those blasted 7000 steps to perform my shout for the Greybeards, simply to get the message that I need a dragon soul to unlock shouts. I is a bit confused to be quit frank. Thanks in advance for any help...
Navahl
Kill dragons, get soul, then find a shout wall or what ever its called to learn a shout. At least that's they way I understood it.

Havent encountered any other dragons yet.
raatorotta
I have killed 3 dragons, but only have got 2 souls! One dragon wasn't in quest! And i have found four walls, but have no idea where to unlock the two. Kind of stupid if u need to do certain quests to get the souls.

xEchion
I had the problem with 2 souls not 3, the 1st resurrected dragon did not count.
huntsman2310
Well this is how got my shouts working. - Found word of power in Bleak Falls Barrows - Helped kill Dragon, gained its soul - found out I was Dragonborn. - Greybeards called for me. - Then I went there and learned whirlwind and force push, I think those are the only two the Greybeards themselves teach. The rest would have to be found in dungeons and unlocked by killing Dragons. - But I also just found this out. When you go into the magic menu and into the shouts sub menu. You have to use R to unlock the shout.
Stormcrown
there are number of pre-set dragon locations on the map, if you use "tmm 1" or you can see a fully unlocked map, they are marked by a "dragon skull" of sorts. They each contain one dragon that will not fly away, and each location has a wall to learn shouts from. One of them gave me all 3 words for throwing my voice, good for theft. (only has a 5 second CD)
Wolves425
- But I also just found this out. When you go into the magic menu and into the shouts sub menu. You have to use R to unlock the shout.I think this is exactly the reason ppl have problems. It took a little while before I saw this as well. Tried to use left mouse click time after time but it always said I needed dragon souls to unlock, even though I had one.

Yup, this seems to be just one of those things Beth 'Forgot' to tell us low class PC users. :pinch: I expect to be posting this 'hint' a lot. Thanks and a kudo to Huntsman2310 for this arcane bit of lore.
