Vaktus
Hey guys, since the Creation kit is FINALLY out ( ) I'd like to remind everyone reading this that right now there are many, many people that are waiting for a Playable Dragon mod (including myself), so it would be really great if you could try seeing what you can do with the Creation Kit now that it's out. I'm pretty sure scripting needs to be done for this, and I definitely don't have time to learn a whole new scripting language, I'm busy enough as it is in real life. Anyway, I've found out something quite interesting! I don't think this has been mentioned before, if it has, then nevermind. While in game, I use the normal "Player.setrace dragon" command. Then I use the command to start flying, "player.pa 3b4e3", normally this will crash your game or leave you hovering in mid-air, but I've found a way to actually get a step further. If you use the start-flying command while in first person, you will stay in place and actually switch to the flying animation in the same place without getting stuck! You can then zoom back out into third person without any crashes and move about freely. Your character will even make the wing flapping animations and turn animations when you move your mouse! Just a warning, you go super fast so you can end up loading several areas all at once if you go too fast. Unfortunately you can't actually stay in the air, you just fall normally, but don't take any fall damage. I checked with the console commands and it says I'm not flying, so that could be the cause. I can also use the TCL command to fly back up into the air very easily, it's worth a try. I've taken screenshots of myself using these commands, you can look at them all here: http://imageshack.us/g/684/screenshot9s.png/ If anyone else has anything to share on getting Dragons flyable I'd be glad to hear it. PS: Bazinix, that video of the Dragon flying is not controllable, it's just someone using the TC command on a flying Dragon and then watching the camera follow it. Also, Dragons use shouts to breath fire and frost, not magicka and the camera problem was already fixed about a month ago.
Sam324
Interesting, Vaktus; I tried that, but it didn't change anything for me. I've found that the flying success can be based on where the player is taking off from (Mixwater Mill used to consistently produce good results of vertical movement for me). I tried setplayeraidriven 1 before taking off to prevent the game from white-screening, which it otherwise did to me. Anyway, naturally I've been playing around with the Creation Kit today, trying to make the dragons' attacks playable. Flying is probably out of my league as far as modding goes. I didn't understand how to make the attacks work; I wanted to change the dragons' attack names in the Attack Data tab to match the humans' attack names, but the boxes were grayed out/un-editable. Someone else will probably figure it out before me, though.
Vaktus
Sam, did you make sure to stay in first person while using the take off command? So far I've been able to get complete control over the Dragon while it is flying everywhere I've tried it. The only down side is that I fall to the ground, but still move fast on the ground as if I'm on wheels. And thanks for using my Support Banner; Support is always appreciated. Sam324
Yes, I had went into first person first this time. Do you consistently get success when you try flying in first person, no matter what the location? I'll have to keep trying.
Evilokami
Hello... I would like to add something to this thread if anyone is open minded about ideas or still in the brainstorming process. I was thinking a breath of fire transformation type thing. If you have not played the games it's basically You are a dragon in human form and during battle you can choose to transform into all types of dragons anything from an element type (fire, ice, etc) and hybrid fighter types which are like a human dragon. They have the human body but scaly with wings and a tail. Thank you for your time.

Throren94
those are just scary looking. Plus I think its already been stated that this is in hope for a actual full playable dragon not any of those Silly Anthro-rcaes.
DragonChester
well hybrid-like dragon race could be possible. Just like Da-Mage added centaurs to Oblivion. So it maybe possible to do same thing for Skyrim. my pic there is just example what could do, or kinda make them kinda like, But thanks. Those pic are just my IMVU Avatar charts for when I role play there. Edited February 9, 2012 by centaurchester

Not Wyrim either. One that has 4 legs and wings.. *shurgs* who knows maybe in year time somebody will come up with something lol Edited February 9, 2012 by centaurchester
