Ruirick
East of Anvil along the coast and up the Lirid until about dead east of Kvatch I get this affect all over the rocks and grass. I have a GeForce 7900GT. This happens nowhere else in the game? Any ideas would be great. I saw an earlier post by someone else who had the exact same problems but he never got an answer. I know some Guru needs a challenge out there!
TheTerminator2004
Hmm... it's hard to tell from the screen, but are all the rocks missing their top halves, or is the entire rock there, but the top half is all black? If it's the latter, it sounds like a texture is missing, but I can't say any more than that  Are you using any mods? If so, what's your load order? Ruirick
Just the tops of the Rocks are black. I do have a lot of Mods running but I have also started a game with no Mods and still the same. Hmm.....
Storm Raven
At some point in the game this begins to happen to me also. Wish I knew why. Stormraven aka Darkstormraven
TheTerminator2004
Well, you could try deleting or renaming your Oblivion.ini file, see if that helps... other than that, i can't think of anything else that could fix it, sorry.
Ruirick
I am not sure exactly how to do that. Would I just rename the file and then restart? Would the restart create a new ini file?
Abramul
Yes, renaming the .ini and starting the game will make it create a new copy. Note that it's the one in your user directory, NOT the one in \Oblivion.
Storm Raven
Of Course you will loose any custom settings like Allow Screenshots etc.(sometimes the big guys forget to mention the small stuff) :) lolJust in case backup your current Oblivion.ini for reference. Abramul
%HOMEPATH%\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion P.S. I've seen glittering grass recently, but it was more due to the coating of ice on it. Looked like it was coated with rhinestones...
