jackbytor
Just a quick question because I cant find a decent answer anywhere. I currently have 111 total active mods and 102 active plugins running and Fallout 4 runs great at a reasonable framerate. My load times when zoning are about 10 secs. No problem there. My problem is my long startup times. When I hit the F4SE shortcut my startup times are 5-7 mins, sometimes more. Is this normal for starting up Fallout 4 with this many mods? Even cutting the amount of mods doesn't not seem to help unless I go practically vanilla. I don't have a SSD on my system and I realize that having one may help. But for now my question still stands. Is this normal? And is there a way to shorten it up a bit? My specs: I7 6700 3.4Ghz8gb ramNvidia gtx 960 2gbWindows 10 home I have a feeling that this is normal for this many mods with my rig and nothing can be done, but thanks for any help you can give. iXenite
I don't know about "normal", but it is common for load times to be longer with modded games. Do you have a lot of scripted mods, or maybe even large texture mods? Those may be what make the initial load time long. If your other load times are short though, then that should mean you're okay. You're right by the way about the SSD. It would help a lot. How fast is your HDD? A slow HDD could also be a slight factor.
