THJT9
Hi, In my mod I have been trying to apply a materia swap along the lines of tho used in the Brotherhood of Steel. However I am currently facing 2 issues I cannot sem to find the solution too and was hoping for some help.1.) Issue one is where the naming system is located. By this I mean that Brotherhood pieces are currently named BoS II, BoS III etc depending on what paint they use. While I know it is determined by dn_Hasmaterial_..., I cannot get it to let me find or edit the name that is chooses to display-it just lets me edit dn_hasmaterial etc and rename that section of it-not the underlying data.2.) The second one is possibly linked to the above piece in that everytime I use comsole commands to spawna character with my new power armor paint on, the game crashes. I used the Knight Captain power armour paint as a reference, so it has a power armor furniture to spawn on, it has been added to the material swap list on each section of power armour etc and has a tmp_ reference to tell it to spawn on the power armour. The only difference as far as I can tell is that dn_hasmaterial_bosknightcaptain has a reference in dn_powerarmor and mine doesn't. However when I click to edit dn_powerarmor to add a reference for my piece, I can't even see a reference in there to the knight captain piece in order to mirror it's reference for mine. Could this be causing the crash or is it more likely something else?Oh and as a side not, I have no mods installed but this one and F04 edit cannot find and conflicts and I am using the CK for making the mod. ArekkusuStorm
To answer #1, under Instance Naming Rule, form ID 188160 contains the Mk. number for power armours. If you're in CK, switch rulesets to find the Mk. numbers. If you're in FO4Edit, copy the list as an override to make changes. ekRapid
Thanks for answering. How do you switch rulesets on the ck?
ArekkusuStorm
It's right there. The instance naming rules are under the misc tab in-case you're wondering. Edited June 20, 2016 by ArekkusuStorm

THJT9
Thanks for your help Arek! Thats the naming sorted. Just need to work out what is causing the crash-I have 3 new power armour paints done the same way, 2 are working fine, and one is causing a crash :P
