Will 64 bit fix Skyrim performance issues?

I know once i get past like 100 FPS i get the Poltergeist bug where you hear slams inside a building and also when you enter a building everything goes flying. I have to use Rivatuner to limit my FPS to 100. I was just wondering if 64 bit would fix stuff like that?

Did they fix it for Fallout 4?

IF not then you have your answer.

Anyway I really doubt it. Seeing as this is essentially a for console sort of thing and what are those running at FPS wise...Right 15-30FPS.

Thing is if it runs smooth enough for the broadest range of users possible is it an issue?

For you maybe.

Sure but for them no.

Your just going to have to cap your FPS for the game its not a huge deal anyway, seeing as they cap it for you with VSync at around what 60FPS anyway.

Vysnc is on according to my file sets its set to 1. However steam shows my FPS still going over 60 fps. So idk whats up with that

edit: thought i do have a 144hz monitor. So im not sure if its trying to cap it at 60 or 144

Check your GPU control panel. It is probably forcing your games to turn VSync off, regardless of in-game settings. You always want to lock your fps to 60 in games made by Bethesda Games Studios. The physics are tied to the framerate.

VSync would most likely cap at 144 if you have a monitor that runs that fast. Frankly I would use a value of 72 instead of 100 if I were limiting my FPS and had a 144hz monitor. Exactly half of 144 should give smoother performance and gets you much closer to the Skyrim expected value of 60.

Gosh. I completely forgot about VSync capping at the monitor refresh rate. I feel stupid now. As for 72fps, wouldn't that still cause physics bugs?

Some yes, but the magnitude of the bugs increases with frame rate. If the OP considered the game playable at 100 FPS then 72 will be even better in terms of physics quirks.
