You spent THAT much money on a computer and you chose asrock? Have you ever even heard of the word "bottleneck" and what it implies in the world of computing? The slowest part will ultimately determine the speed of the overall system. By utilizing an asrock mainboard, you will not be able to use the full speed of your GPU, ram, SSD nor CPU. Additionally, you will probably not be able to successfully overclock your system, while the i7 has enormous OC potential

Opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one and their so eager to share, causing the whole world to stink. You could have easily been more tactful about discussing with him that his choose of main board was bottle-necking his PC without being a complete jackass. I don't know, like explaining why it is and offering a good quality argument to your "opinion" verse passive aggressively calling him a dumba$$. This is why I don't usually post but lurk.

The pictures are pretty nice, I've done the same with my game as well and it improves the visuals quite well. You can also up the render distance of the grass from 7000 to 20000

 

look for these in the skyrimprefs.ini

This worked perfectly, thanks a million man!! No more blocky shadows interior or exterior! I only wanted to play at night because daytime shadows were ruining my experience. Great job!! Sticky this!

Didn't really ask for your opinion on my motherboard. I've been building computers and gaming rigs for 18 years... so, I quite familur with what a bottleneck is. This isn't my main board for my gaming PC, this is a board I used for my budget home Theatre pc. My Asus P7P55D Deluxe burnt up last month and I haven't bought a replacement yet becuase I'm thinking for jumping to a 1155 setup. But then again i'm sure your the expert jumpimg on my ass about a "waste of good money" guess my setup is complete s***. lol

Witch ini i need to change? I changed the .ini at this directory: c:/users/xyz/documents/mygames/skyrim . Am i right when i think i dont have to change anything at the steamapps/common/..... .ini ?

Btw fShadowDistance and fInteriorShadowDistance can be at 1000? the lower the number the better the shadow quality? Has it any bad effect or its just make the shadow to looks smoother.
