Purity of Revenge

Hello,

I just finished the quest Kodlak send you to do in regards to lift the werewolf curse (Blood's Honor?). Jorvaskr(?) was attacked by the Silver Hand during the time of the quest and Kodlak was killed. Vilkas swears revenge and tells me that they'll strike their base, Driftshade Refuge. I did not know that was the base at the time I first visited it, as it is also where you're send to retrieve the Horn of Winterhold. That was a quest given to you by the jarl of Winterhold. Is Purity of Revenge stopped from showing up because of the fact that I have been there already and cleared the place?

I've gone back to a 3 hour old save where I had not returned the horn, but same problem. Next save is 8 hours or so, so not exactly very keen to go back that many hours. Has anyone experienced this or know a fix?

This can be closed. I started the following quest by using console. Seems like it was the only way.

Note of warning, though:

Do NOT do the Jarl's quest first or enter Driftshade Refuge before that quest. There's no way for me to prove it, but I believe that's what caused it, so take care.

What command did you use to add the quest to your questlog? I can't get it to start. I don't think I've already explored Driftshade, but my games glitched pretty bad and I've already done nearly the whole College of Winterhold, wouldn't want to have to restart the save.

I put this on another thread, but just in case anyone needs it:

"I fixed this in my game. I'm not sure if any specific thing fixed it or if it was the mix of everything I did. I got the glitch because I hadn't finished the helm quest for the jarl before going back to the companions. Vilkas said that he wanted revenge but the quest didn't start and he started eating instead. I went and finished the helm quest without killing a single person using god mode. I came back to the companions and using the console I clicked on Vilkas and used the "disable" and then "enable" commands. Nothing new happened for me, but this might fix Vilkas if he is "busy". I then used "setstage c05 0" while still inside the building with him and then talked to him. The quest started and he started following me as he should have. Everything looks to be fine. I hope this fixes the problem for some others. "
