Dagoroth
Aside from the sun shadows generated by trees, houses etc being very blotchy and badly defined, they also seem to move in a jerky sort of way at certain intervals every few seconds depending on the timescale I set (using 'Set timescale to XX' in the console). Also - when the sun shadows do change it happens in an unpleasant flickery sort of way, which frankly leaves me disorientated. Link to Skyrim - Sun shadows(HD) Is this specific to my system / graphics card(nVidia GTX 295), or are other people having the same problem? I think a smooth sun transition across the sky would add immensely to the realism of the game. Is there a tweak in thr .INI file that controls the suns movement intervals?Or perhaps someone is looking at making a mod for that....(?) SickFak
Same for me, kinda annoying :( Settings are on max, except AA on 2 AF on 8 and FXAA turned off... I also have horrible lag/stutter whenever someone passes near me and throws a comment. It's like loading that comment is soo straining on the system. What's up with that?! Spryngo
I'm getting that as well. No way to fix that I'm afraid. Not yet anyway, maybe a mod would fix that.I'm really upset about how people call this game "gorgeous". This game has 2007-2008 graphics and incredibly low resolution textures. I'm currently 10 hours in and decided to uninstall the game and wait for some weeks for mods.Yes, it really is that bad for me.
AbleGnome
Wow. Graphics aren't perfect, but for me, a lot are sharp, particularly interiors. I get that shadow movement too, which looks okay and logical in candlelight, but outside it is really irritating.
Dagoroth
I've played around with the settings briefly, and discovered that if I set 'Shadow Detail' to high or 'Ultra' the blotchyness of the shadows goes away, but the problem with the sun's (and as a result also the shadows') jerky movement remains. It just looks really unnatural, and kind of ruins the immersion for me....
