Seekirus
I think Skyrim needs a better weapons combat system. I liked the Oblivion system for swords and such in Oblivion.... more being able to block properly with a sword. Maybe i'm just not a high enough level... but most enemy hits are getting past, like almost all. I like using a one handed sword... but it feels pointless cause of the blocking. Aluminumfoil
I know that I would really like a directional dodge/evade/roll, like most melee action games have. I keep pressing space bar to evade attacks, and just jumping like an idiot because Skyrim doesn't have an evade function v.v

Mansh00ter
Also, archery. I hate hitting a bandit five times with an arrow to make him drop. Arrows should be deadly, they're pretty easy to dodge anyway. Anybody knows if Skyrim uses hitboxes? As in, are headshots registered? I *think* I do more damage if I hit someone in the head, but I'm not sure.

topeira
Im pretty positive that headshots dont do more damage. Try and test it. Sneak near an enemy and save than hig him in the head, reload, hit in his torso. Im pretty sure it'll be the same. Regarding blockung - yeah, it requires investment. U need to upgrade your blocking more. I THINK blocking with a sword is as effective as with a shield ecept some perks that only work with a shild. Also - use bashing to prevent direct power-attacks. Those bad boys do a lot of damage even if blocked.

I *think* I do more damage if I hit someone in the head, but I'm not sure.I'm playing on Master and keep getting odd difficulty spikes. I'll be in the same location as I was when enemies were manageable with my bow. Then I'll go into the next room, the same enemy types will be in there with the same armour, and even a x3 critical to the head will only do about 10% of their health bar in damage. And all enemies seem to kill me in one or two hits. It was absolutely impossible to progress. I had to put it on Adept to get through those rooms, and then it became really easy again and it was like playing Serious Sam with god mode on.
