New to CK (but have a few FO4Edit based mods), and I know it seems to be a frequent complaint, but is there any way to improve CPU / Memory usage?

CK seems to take forever to perform tasks, frequently locks and seems to only be using a fraction of the available system resources.

spent the last 3 hours attempting to create a mod only to have CK keep crashing with only the FO4 main file selected.

It seems to be using less than 25% available CPU usages, less than 10% of GPU usage and about 15% of available memory.

I can't even close it normally, it just crashes every time instead :)

Better save after every major change to not lose your work.

The crash upon exit is something happening here too (maybe an update will fix it). To improve performance, you could reduce the amount of cells loaded into the renderer. Can't recall exactly which setting controls that, but I know it's possible.

*and make a backup in a separate folder at least once per day. If you are making a huge mod, this is a lifesaver ;-)

Right now it works for one load. If I want to change some edits. I have to save, exit. Open it again. It's a mess, but workable and doesn't consume that much time on a fast pc.

I have a "fast" (not a potato I promise) PC and CK takes several minutes to open, one of the reasons I ask.

I have the exact same issue, when I try to edit a Boston financial district cell it's like a slideshow and you can barely do anything.
