Sanbru Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 Mods that I would like to see when it comes to the horses in Skyrim. 1. Horse combat.- Annoying to have to get off to fight. 2. Horses for Companions- Lydia and others are slow pokes. 3. Horse armor( That is right, I said it.)4. First person view while riding. ( Perhaps some special animations, using reigns and what not.)5. Different breeds of horses. 6. Able to catch wild horses and sell them to the stables for additional septims. 7. Horse calls ( Able to call your horse, perhaps with a whistle.)8. Horse calling would be nicer than hoping it'll show up when you leave it standing around. Archery from a horse would be a long-term wish. Melee would be harder I think. Although, come to think of it..wouldn't shooting a fireball or lighting from a horse spook it? Perhaps another mod that the horse could knock you off of it when spooked enough or being attacked. The horse has 3 speed, the slower has a walk animation that's fine. The second one (when using running speed) has a gallop animation which is ridiculous, he is galloping with really little steps and isn't going really fast. The last one (when sprinting) is a gallop too, more natural but still a little wierd I think (which wouldn't bother me that much if I weren't forced to look with this crappy 3rd view). What I would like to see changed is the running animation. The horse is just not fast enough to be galloping, he should be trotting, and I'd like to have a trot animation. A little improvement on the sprint gallop would be nice too, but not as needed. For what have been said in the first post, I think points 1 to 4 are important and really missing. Ozisl Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 I've found that Fast Travel actually makes the game worse. I realize that I've skipped so many little areas. I mean, it is convenient, but TOO convenient. Maybe it'd be a little better if you could randomly be attacked while Fast Travelling...a little balance. Anyway, that is off topic.
