CiderMuffin
Well that's awesome. Now if only Bethesda gave us a way to transfer settlements from save to save xD
ShiranuiMahamayah
Ow I know what you mean, every-time I restart cause something broke too much. I know I need to set aside at least 2 hour to remake sanctuary, at this point I can build it from muscle memory. I use building a settlement to mark progress, cause they take so long. The next wall of text is me just venting, about how long and my process for building sanctuary so don't read unless you feel like it. Note I do console command myself a bunch of resources due to how many times I have needed to restart. I just got though doing it for the 10th time (I think). I spend about half an hour scraping all the junk (and trees including fallen one cant those be like pre-scrapped), a few minutes moving things around eg crafting stuff. After that I get to building, where I put up my bridge defences takes about 15 minutes to get everything positioned right. Followed by getting the perimeter defences up, takes about 20 to 25 minutes even with my quicker method, also install the water pumps at the same time. Next I set up my powerplant (normally a floating building filled with fusion generators and a beta wave generator) takes about 10 minutes to set it up. Spend the next 15 to 20 running around setting up the power lines so I have energy everywhere. Then build the floating market and floating sleeping quarters takes about 20 more minutes finally my house in about 3 minutes. When done I barely feel like playing, only place worse is the island cause its way to big.
radiumskull
Or how about whole entire prefab settlements, similar to what you purchased for the player-home in Megaton as variations on a theme. You collect the caps (in this case you'd also collect the scrap) and just build at the touch of a button. The CK has 'layers', so it could work. I don't think that's how Layers work in CK. They're really just so you can hide stuff while you're building in CK, not in the game.
Userper
you could just make sanctuary's building static, and have them repairable like in this mod.http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8610/?i.e. just have 2 layers or versions, when you repair you disable the first and enable the second.
