Valamyr
Hell yes, Im very disappointed the base game has no Ayelids assets. And we cant do direct ports but... Id love for some intrepid modder to rebuild a core group of "Ayelid ruin" themed assets from which we could make some Ayelid dungeons. Dont forget the Varla stones and all that either :D But until then lets see your stuff!

xraigin
aylieds are not native to skyrim, they were cyrodilic. although you could possibly find a few in the northern jerrals.

jjk999
There were elves in skyrim before nords were so howzabout ancient Falmer weapons? Falmer were the snow elves that were in Skyrim before the Nords came.
jgreybear
There were elves in skyrim before nords were so howzabout ancient Falmer weapons? Falmer were the snow elves that were in Skyrim before the Nords came. If you could point me to some info or background on them....you think they might have a similar style as the Ayleids did? I was under the assumption that the All elves were descended from the Ayleids. But then again not Totally up on the Lore.
ishmaeltheforsaken
No, none of the modern elves descended from the ayleids. The ayleids, as well as the modern altmer, dunmer, and bosmer, descended from the aldmer. Anyway, stylistically, I'd hazard their gear may have once been similar to the standard "elven" style, but more savage (with fur and leather). Perhaps some incorporation of stalhrim (the ice material from Bloodmoon) as well.
jjk999
Info about falmer just might be a bit spoilery at this time but I don't know to what extent. I saw a pic of a supposed loading scren but can't recall if the text in the image is what was on the loading screen that I saw in my game so it might be real or might be by a hoaxter. If the info is accurate then they still might have been different in the distant past before the Nords came to Skyrim. This is a source of non spoilery info about falmer and has links to further lore that can be found in in-game books. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Falmer Edited November 14, 2011 by jjk999
Shadowclaimer
Info about falmer just might be a bit spoilery at this time but I don't know to what extent. This is a source of non spoilery info about falmer and has links to further lore that can be found in in-game books. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Falmer Its not spoiler to say this, since it says it on the loading screen (I'm tagging to be safe) The Falmer and Nords went to war eons ago when the Nords first came to Skyrim, the Falmer were defeated and driven underground and from there they regressed to a primitive almost goblin-like state. The modern falmer are nothing like their old selves. They construct weapons and armor from the skin and bones of insectlike creatures and live deep within caves and dwemer ruins. Some people supposedly in Skyrim note seeing Falmer that aren't primitive. I actually had some notes posted about implementing an "Old Falmer" race into the game. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/460250-the-elder-races-of-mer/
