  1. Surely the modding community wouldn't be nearly as robust without pervs. It attracts new modders who may or may not restrict themselves to creating adult mods specifically. If someone's compelled, they're going to make something because they want to, regardless how other people view it--and then it's up to them whether they want to share it or not with others who might call them pervs. It's possible other really cool things could come of what Cherry's figured out and what other numerous 'adult' modders have come up with. Can you fully preview how they might look inside 3DS?
  2. Grats. Pretty cool. The moving parts look like they're alive on their own :P In 3DS, does Havok work in realtime on bones? eg. Could I make a running animation and see like a ponytail animate on its own? I've always wanted to prep a character with physics bones for importing to Unity, but I never had the slightest idea where to start.
  3. Trying to change Ebony helm into a visor so I can see my character's face. I knew the head would be invisible if I replaced the regular Ebony helm in game, but I've so far been unsuccessful in replacing open-faced ones like blades, dragonplate and dragonscale. What results is some funny bald regions on my char's head and pushed in ears. Any idea what's wrong? Lydia is wearing the mesh on the right, so I know it's fine as far as getting it in to the game. http://i44.tinypic.com/20stvfs.jpg
  4. This'll be awesome. Extremely awesome if eventually someone could replicate parts of the combat from W2.
  5. No modifying. The weight slider didn't seem to do anything. I can replicate it to show up in 3DS if I first import the armor and then the body. It doesn't show up at all in 3DS (or nifsk) if I import the body first followed by the armor, but only shows up in the game. I think it happens even without importing the body sometimes.

  7. So instead of wasting my time going through the motions again and failing, I decided to try just opening a working file in nifskope, simply re-saving and seeing if that works. The game never loads. Any ideas? This is a default mesh's errors on loading. This is someone's custom mesh with cbbe and other parts added.
  8. Very cool stuff Basalt. There's so many random Dwemer pieces laying around. You'll be busy for years :biggrin: Dweme big or Dweme no more.
  9. What're you going for exactly? I think the streaky pattern looks fine for the cloth, but it takes away from the leather a bit. There's also a general fuzziness overall that bugs me a bit--it fits fine with the rest of the game's textures though.

  12. There're two nodes in this file, one below EbonyBody and one below Cuirass. One was set to 32, the other to BP_TORSO. Changed them to both be 32. Getting the same crash. I just read the OP again. It doesn't mention anything about it crashing the game, just that the mesh won't appear. There must be some glaring misstep I'm taking here? -Imported with OP's settings -Edited mesh below Skin modifier -Delete and reapply BSDismember @ top of stack (Is it necessary to do anything inside of this modifier?) -Export with OP's settings -Replace BSLightShaderProperties with original mesh copies (Do this for multiple instances?) -Vertex colors/has normals -BSDismember nodes have value of 32 (Do this for all instances?) -Save as 'mesh'_0 and 'mesh'_1 (Auto sanitize?) If you could imagine this was your process, what am I doing wrong?
  13. ATM I'm just worried about how to get this in game at minimum. If essentially all I need to do is follow the tweaks in the OP and replace BSLSPs and the BSDismember, I'm not sure what else I'm missing. Files _0 and _1 the same files also.
  14. That was it. Thanks. What exactly do I need to do with this modifier? Just make sure all unselected are selected, pick torso (for chest armor) and hit the +? Edit: If my mesh has two BSLightingShaderPropertys I need to replace both? Equipping in game is crashing. I've replaced all BSL-S-Ps, I've replaced BSDismember. Saved as both unsanitized/autosanitized in nifskope. Not sure what else to try.
  15. Hey guys, thanks for the info in this thread. I'm having an issue with exporting. About 25% in it tells me there's an error and then closes. Any idea how to fix this? I tried a non-complex edit, simply just deleting a portion of the model and it's still happening. BTW I'm just editing the mesh at the bottom of the stack, using the existing Edit Mesh. I'm also using 2012 64 As for what I'm trying to achieve, if this gets solved, I'd like to know what the best way would be to go about this: I'm basically making a breast plate out of Ebony armor and want the body to show under it. I don't intend to edit the body at all (to make that part simple), just moving the armor to fit around it. Would I edit just the armor in 3DS, prep in Nifskope and then copy paste the whole body onto that armor in Nifskope afterward? One last question. Do I want to use skeleton.nif or rename female_skeleton.nif to just 'skeleton.nif' for females? Thanks
  16. Adrenaline Oblivion was one of my favorite mods. Simple and effective. Similarly, Mart's Mutant Mod for FO3 had an option to increase spawns. I think it multiplied all non-named enemies by x1-x5 randomly and partly depending on type. MMM had a nice feature of increasing the spawn of zombies even further.
  17. Off-topic, but I hate 3ds' soft selection. I've never gotten good results with it. Maya's is better and Blender's is crazy-awesome. If you have any tips for making it function more like Blender's, I'd appreciate it.
  18. I used the disable/enable thing on Lydia. World of difference. She'd get knocked to her knees after 1-2 hits from almost anything. Now she can survive quite an attack--several hits by giants or dragons is no problem.
  19. IMO it's the same or a bit less in terms of ambiance. While general NPC banter seemed repetitive in Oblivion, it felt like there was a lot more of it. Also Skyrim doesn't zoom in on NPC faces like Oblivion did, which I feel creates a bit of a disconnect. My 2 Septims may differ greatly from others'.

  23. I hate this. Last night I chased after a thief and NPCs kept getting in my way while I was trying to hit him. Gave me a bounty and all guards were immediately on me. Really kills the fun.
