I CANNOT for the life of me work around the Dialogue bug.

Recommended Posts

So I'm working on an in-depth follower mod and have spent the last week messing around with different functions of the CK in order to prepare for my actual development phase. One thing that I've bumped into is that freaking dialogue bug. I've tried virtually every fix I can find, but nothing seems to work. I've made a new save with the mod loaded, saved and reloaded, I've ensured that I haven't used Star Game Enabled quests, I've generated an SEQ for my .esp and placed it in the proper folder...I've tried EVERY fix that I can think of. What happens is that when the quest stage is enabled, the first dialogue option pops up, but none of my responses show up, nor do any other dialogue options that are supposed to pop up in the beginning. It's frustrating because I can TELL it's the stupid dialogue bug because the first option, which has the same conditions as the second option, shows after I set the stage, but the second option does not. Anyone know of any end-all-be-all way of getting around the bug? Not a single one of the fixes I found has done anything.

TO REITERATE, I FOLLOWED THE STEPS IN THE DIALOGUE BUG FIX STICKY AND IT STILL DID NOT WORK.

Okay, so it seems it ISN'T the dialogue bug. Somehow the GetStage condition is screwing it up, after some troubleshooting. It ONLY wants to work on that first "Can I train you?" question and on nothing else. I have NO CLUE why it won't work.

Have you made a Seq file for your mod?

edit: It not a bug dialogue wont work without it, making is easy using TES5Edit

Cheeers

Did you even read my post? I MADE an SEQ...XD. Luckily, I figured it out on my own. I had stupidly referenced a quest that I'd created but never used with a similar name as opposed to the one I was editing.
