TKHawke
So I'm getting an AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphics card soon. I know my power supply good but I was never sure about my motherboard and processor. I wasnt sure what info was needed form dxdiag so I'm just posting whatever it reads for my stuff. Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz Motherboard: Couldn't get much info on my mother except that it's model is Benicia
hoofhearted4
even if it does work your going to bottleneck the living hell out of it.
prandiningrat
yeah i agree with hoofhearted4, 6990 is high end card, it will get bottleneck with your LGA 775 cpu's. I would suggest to upgrade your cpu first. Core i5 2500K or Core i7 2600K would be fine.
TKHawke
That's what I thought. Though doesn't matter much now. I'm going to sell my current and my parents and grandparents are going to pitch in for a completely new computer. Can someone suggest a computer brand for a really good gaming computer? I have a budget around maybe $1,100 since since I'm selling my current computer. I would go custom but 1) I don't know anything about parts 2) I've had bad experiences ordering parts for custom (items not arriving on time, broken pieces) so I just want to look at already built ones. hoofhearted4
you wont find a gaming PC bro. you seriously are better off building it, or finding someone to build it for you. you can kind build one here though: My link Edited November 15, 2011 by hoofhearted4
TKHawke
Well I don't know much about building computers, even simply selecting certain parts from that site you linked me too. I guess I might as well go custom since everyone keeps telling that.
